this song means more to me than any song i've ever written. i was in a dark place, with heartache, displacement, and stress. and to make matters worse, i couldn't write a song to save my life. then one night these words just spilled out. they lack decoration, but i don't care. the song's chord progression just repeats over and over, like the days of this year's winter.
i release the song now, as i get ready for a wonderful, warm future! i hope it can pull you out of a dark place. as with all music, please listen with headphones or in the car.
i've been so alone, dear.
and i can't wait until i can go back to where i belong.
i've been so cold here.
and i can't feel my feet anymore.
we'll wait it out, the stars are everlasting love.
just wait it out, the stars are everlasting love.
i've been so afraid, dear.
the wind and the woods have hidden me here.
i've been so frustrated with myself,
but i can finally begin to see the light,
by myself, i can finally see the light.
i am sitting in the middle of the summer thunderstorm.
